However I finally put a bit of new stuff on here. For those of you that haven't noticed, there's a collection of images from the 2004 retro classics up (see it here) - and there's a new optical toy I've just bought, an early 50ies stereoscopic camera. First image(s) is available in the photography section or here.

Oh - and as a bit of an excuse why nothing's really happening around here - have a look at a bit of what I'm working on currently: realreflect EU project ;)

TCPA (Trusted Computing Platform Alliance) aims for 'secure computing' through the use of strong encryption (and license management) in, as a final goal, every piece of hardware. Anything that runs on this hardware will have to be certified, otherwise this will mean a no-go. I think I won't need to say what this means to free and open software as well as programming for fun.

Go over to TCPA for the official site - and another view of the whole story.

This place usually isn't into politics - and doesn't take things quite that serious, too - but I might as well provide some pointers to recent developments which - and both sides won't deny this - will change the way we work, relax and have fun with computers today.

Hi everybody, *finally* some news. Thing's have really been moving fast in the past months - I've got a job in Stuttgart, I'm just about doing a motorcycle driving licence - and I think I need a vacation :) Past weeks were quite intense, finishing a project at work. Now it's about 99 % done, so I've got a tiny bit of free time.

Part of that I use to keep my new baby rolling. Something I've always wanted has come true - I've got a classic Mini. Pics are to be found

or - using the menu system - in the photography section / digital / mini.

A new year and new money as well ;) 2oo2 - what a nice symmetrical number. I hope you're all well and got over smoothly ...
I finally found time to fix some minor bugs in the menu code above. As you've probably noticed there's a new section, too. And last but not least I added the first pictures done with my latest acquisition, a Sony DSC-F707 digital camera. What a toy ;)

Yeah - I know I've been really lazy with this one. But in spite of my usual habits I've done a major update over the last couple of hours!

• Removed the mozilla-fix because the bug in gecko (causing all images to get distorted in colour) seems to have been removed as of lately.

• Redone thumb and normal size images with bicubic resize - looks *a lot* better

• Most important of all: Added new projects: spaceflight, tour des Alpes, Mondfinsternis (total eclipse of the moon).

Besides that I've finished my thesis on haptic interfaces and virtual environments (Yeah!) and am looking for a job right now. Just in case anybody knows of opportunities envolving Virtual Realiy, Visualization and realtime graphics galore I'd most appreciate it if you give me a hint :)
